National Voter Registration Day--Sept. 25th

September 14, 2018

What is National Voter Registration Day?

The LWVOZ is excited to once again be a part of a national effort to strengthen our community by assisting with voter registration on September 25, 2018, the day designated as National Voter Registration Day!

First started for the 2012 presidential election, National Voter Registration Day has become a 50-state event where thousands of organizations and volunteers organize to ensure our family, friends, and neighbors are registered to vote. The League of Women Voters is a Premier Partner for this national event.

Why should people register to vote?

Between the House, Senate, and governor races across the country, voters have the opportunity to decide the fate of over 500 elected officials!

LWVOZ is excited to host a Voter Registration Assistance event at MATC in Mequon on September 25th from 8:30 am -- 1:30 pm. League members will be assisting MATC students, staff, or community members with registering, checking registration status online, and encouraging participating in our electoral process for the November election. This event is free and open to the public. We hope you will join us!
