League discusses "The Woman's Hour" by Elaine Weiss

Two days after the November 2018 mid-term election the Ozaukee County League of Women Voters held the fall book discussion at the Cedarburg Public Library. The League selected and discussed The Woman's Hour by Elaine Weiss which brought readers back to Nashville, TN in August 1920 for the final weeks leading up to the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment by the 36th state--Tennessee. The great fight to win the vote for women took seven decades of hard work and determination and it all hinged on the suffragists' will, lobbying, and organizing during those final weeks during the hot summer of 1920. The discussion was lead by League members Nancy Haacke and Allison Antoine.
