2020 Planning Underway

November 16, 2019

NSeven Coffee Company in Grafton was perfect for a gathering of LWVOZ members on November 13. It was a time for chatting and catching up over a cup of coffee or tea on a cold fall day. Members participated in informal planning for the year’s programs: fair voting maps and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the LWV and the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

Nancy Haacke shared a proclamation from the Ozaukee County Board recognizing the centennial of Wisconsin being the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment in 1919 and celebrating the leadership and work of women’s rights groups leading to that ratification.
